Linda Williams is originally from the ‘Emerald Isle’ and moved to London in 1990 after completing a three year diploma in computing. With ten years senior technical and customer support experience working for well known multi-national software companies Ericsson, Computer Associates & Cheyenne Software and Central Point Software she is used to deadlines and producing work to a high standard.
After moving to West Dorset in 2000 she worked for 2 years in Finance for Magna Housing Association in Dorchester, with responsibilities for calculating service charges, budgets, training and recruiting staff.
Emerald was setup in 2007 and customers include:
Mandeville Joinery: Business Admin, holiday cover, maintaining sage accounts and updating website.
Forest Products UK Ltd, Food Manufacturer: Creating artwork for personalised labels, updating spreadsheets and writing content for website.
CPRE (Campaign to Protect Rural England): Business Admin, taking minutes at meetings, writing reports and updating website.
Gail O’ Sullivan, Millfield Holiday let in Kenmare Ireland. Setup and maintain Wordpress blog site to advertise holiday let. Also maintain accounts spreadsheet.
We also write website articles for local businesses.
With an enthusiastic & friendly manner Linda prides herself in doing a reliable professional job at all times and helping out where needed. A touch typist, experienced in working with Microsoft Office, Wordpress, Photoshop, CorelDRAW, Sage, E-mail and other related applications. She enjoys sport, gardening, the countryside and supports local and national charities. Linda is married to Martin who grew up in Maiden Newton. They have 2 children.
Voluntary Work:
Linda was Treasurer for the Frome St Quintin PCC (Parochial Church Council) from 2003 to 2010 and Secretary for the Frome Valley Parish Plan July 2005 to July 2008. She maintains websites for two local charities.
Linda is an active member of Rural Dorset Business Clubs (Marshwood Club).
