Linda is originally from the ‘Emerald Isle’ and moved to London in 1990 after completing a three year diploma in Computing. She has ten years senior technical and customer support experience working with well known multi-national software companies (Ericsson (Data & Voice transmission products), Computer Associates & Cheyenne Software (Backup, Anti-Virus and Data Management for PCs and networks) and Central Point Software (PC Backup, Anti-Virus and data recovery software). She regularly travelled to Scandinavia, Western Europe and also to the US and South Africa representing the companies at trade shows, seminars, conferences and on-site training. She worked closely with distributors, resellers and clients both abroad and the UK. She is comfortable in business relationships on all levels. After moving to West Dorset in 2000, she worked for 2 years in Finance for Magna Housing Association in Dorchester, with responsibilities for calculating service charges, budgets, training and recruiting staff.

With an approachable & friendly manner she easily adapts to new challenges. Highly organized and used to working to deadlines. She prides herself in doing a reliable professional job at all times and helping out where needed. A touch typist, experienced in working with Microsoft Office and other related applications.  

She enjoys sport (Rugby(Munster/Ireland), Golf), gardening, the countryside and supports local and national charities. Linda is married to Martin who grew up in Maiden Newton. They have 2 children.

Linda holds two voluntary posts, Treasurer for the Frome St Quintin PCC (Parochial Church Council) since March 2003 and Secretary for the Frome Valley Parish Plan July 2005 to July 2008. The Parish Plan is now complete and Linda was a guest speaker at the Parish Plan Exchange meeting which took place at the Corn Exchange,  Dorchester, on the 24th June.
